Full Service Interior Design

Design Concept

In this phase of the project, we shall:

Determine your and your child's personal style preferences and functional requirements by conducting an initial design study. The study involves open discussion which help us know more about your child...what is he/she into, what you as a parent want to provide ..maybe to encourage them with something specific. If you have an idea or concept in mind, we can help put it together as a comprehensive design. We can  look at clippings you have cut illustrating your tastes. Or we can provide different options for you to choose from and then personalise it.

We will take careful measurements, and note the architectural influences; we will understand the psychological factors and other important nuances.

Provide illustrations and other materials to generally show the suggested interior design concept, to include furnishings, fabric, color palette, interior finishes, wall coverings, floor coverings, ceiling treatments, lighting treatments, and window treatments.

Prepare CAD layouts showing the location of movable furnishings and suggested permanent changes to the room(s) if applicable.

Prepare initial plans for recommended custom furniture, cabinet work, interior built-ins and other interior decorative details (a.k.a. Interior installations).

We develop a space plan. This includes furniture layout, custom furniture or furniture acquisition if applicable, lighting considerations, reflected ceiling layout if applicable, window coverings and colour scheme

Interior Specifications and Purchasing Services

We will hand select or specifically design furnishings and interior installations to complete your personal design concept.

Project Management

Hopskoch will, as and where appropriate, provide referral to tried and tested contractors. We will meet with and/or schedule them for estimates and organize schedules to complete the job.

Consultation Services

Consultation Services are the provision of design ideas and recommendations as to concept/theme suitable, considering the child's age, budget, etc. It does not involve Full Service Interior Design – formal Design Concept and Interior Specification, Purchasing Services, or Project Management. Colour consultations and re-working existing furnishings are the most common consultations but any design question is welcomed. We charge per hour for design consulting services.
